National Geographic is transforming it’s headquarters in Washington DC into a destination with an expanded museum and new public spaces. This renovation and expansion was designed by Hickok Cole to tie the two existing buildings together to create a new campus gateway while upgrading existing façade elements. This building will be National Geographics Base Camp for visitors to convene from around the globe. This 4-story expansion will feature an approximately 7,000 square foot custom steel curtainwall structure installed by Service Glass Industries that incorporates new glass technologies for an immersive display.
